NAWABSHAH, March 19: Fifth annual symposium of Nawabshah Medical College Hospital would be held on March 22 and 23.

This was announced by Professor (Dr) Ali Akbar Ghumro, principal of NMC, at a press conference here on Wednesday.

He said that the theme of the symposium was “female health problems” and a large number of eminent scientists and scholars from renowned institutions would present seventy research papers during the event.

He said that different sessions of the event would be inaugurated by College of Physicians and Surgeons of Pakistan President Professor Zafarullah Chaudhry, followed by Vice-Chancellor of LUMHS Professor Noshad Shaikh, and Nawabshah District Nazim Faryal Talpur.

He said a keynote lecture on ‘women problems from womb to tomb’ would be delivered by Professor Aftab Munir of Isra University, while Professor Manzoor Hussain from SIUT Karachi, Professor Abdul Basit from Baqai University, and Professor S. Awais would also read research papers.

He said that more than 500 registrations were made till Wednesday while more were expected.

At least seventy research papers would be presented in the scientific session followed by a workshop arranged for various departments’ trainees and postgraduates.

DIPLOMAT IN CITY: British Deputy High Commissioner Robert Gibson arrived here on Wednesday.

Reliable sources said that he would meet district nazim Ms Faryal Talpur.
