ABU DHABI, March 24: The United Arab Emirates and Qatar signed an accord on Monday creating a common investment fund, the official UAE news agency WAM reported.

It did not give the capital allocated to the fund.

The agreement between the two petroleum-rich Gulf states was signed during a brief visit to Doha by UAE ruler Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed al-Nahayan and in the presence of Qatar’s emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani, WAM said.—AFP
