KHAIRPUR, March 25: The woman injured on the pretext of Karo-Kari has expressed her fear for life as police is delaying arrest of her husband.

Hanifa, 26-year old woman told this to a delegation of PML-F lawyers led by Begum Rana Shah on Tuesday who called on her at the Civil Hospital. She was admitted to the hospital since last three days.

She said Pir Jo Goth police instead of arresting her absconding husband Anwar Ali Lodro arrested his father and also took away their cattle. She said she was innocent and allegation of Kari was a conspiracy.

The delegation told reporters that Ms Hanifa Lodro was under fear and appealed the district administration to provide her protection.

Anwar Lodro had reportedly killed a youngster Ghulam Abbas Lodro in Mullan Abid Lodro village, Taluka Kingri on Sunday on pretext of Karo-Kari and later opened fire on his wife Ms Hanifa in their house, seriously injuring her.
