SUKKUR, March 26: Traders of Sukkur city observed a shutter down strike on Wednesday against lawlessness and looting of traders by armed men on Tuesday.

The strike call was given by the President, Sukkur Small Traders, Haji Mohammad Haroon Memon, in which most of the trade bodies and groups participated besides taking out a rally which after marching on roads of the city ended at the press club.

Addressing the traders,

Haji Haroon Memon said that the incident had triggered anguish and harassment in the business community and deplored that the incident took place adjacent to B-Section police station.

Meanwhile, tyres were burnt by angry traders at the clock tower chowk and slogans were raised to condemn the local police and authorities.

On the other hand, police conducted several raids to arrest the accused and rounded up 15 suspects for interrogation. The DPO expressed the hope that the robbers would be arrested son.
