LAHORE, March 30: The string of a stray kite injured a young man when he was riding a motorcycle in the Gujjarpura area on Sunday.

Police said Asif was returning from a wedding ceremony on his motorcycle along with his wife and two children. As he reached Sher Shah Road, his neck was entangled with the twine.

His lost balance and fell from the motorcycle along with his wife and two children who, too, sustained injuries.

Some passers-by informed Rescue staff who rushed Asif to a nearby hospital where doctors described his condition as critical.

Police registered a case against unidentified kite flyer(s) and started investigation.

This was the second such incident in the city during the last two days. Earlier, a student of the 10th class died after a stray kite twine cut his throat in Hunjarwal on Saturday.
