KARACHI, April 1: Three ships scheduled to load/offload containers and iron ore were accommodated berths during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Tuesday.

In the meantime, two more ships carrying palm oil and project cargo also arrived at the outer anchorage.

Seven ships, Maersk Asia, Nedlloyd Iowa, Tiran Island, Pontonikis, Ocean Morning, Jawaharlal Nehru and Kaghan, were busy in loading and unloading containers, cement, wheat, crude oil, coke and iron ore,

A cargo volume of 94,870 tons comprising 73,983 tons of import and 20,887 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Jia Ho sailed out while Maersk Iowa was expected to depart the port.
