LAHORE, April 7: Rawalpindi with 45 points won the Punjab Open karate championship here on Monday.

Lahore with 40 points seized the second position.

Individual kata: Faizan Riaz (Rawalpindi); Mohsin Karamat (Lahore); Umar Mehmood (Sialkot).

50kg: Adnan Aslam (Rawalpindi); Adeel Raza (Sahiwal); Farhanullah (Lahore).

55kg: Mohammad Ali (Rawalpindi); Mirza Rehan Baig (Lahore); Mohammad Idrees (Gujrat).

60kg: Inayat (Gujrat); Mehran Ali (Sargodha); Mohammad Ilyas (Gujranwala).

65kg: Azam Karamat (Lahore); Sher Gul (Gujranwala); Shahzad Waheed (Faisalabad); Liaquat Ali (Sargodha).
