HYDERABAD, April 11: A two-day international multi-topic conference organised by the Mehran University of Engineering and Technology in collaboration with the Aalboerg University, Denmark, was inaugurated by Prof Quintin Gee of the University of Southampton, UK, at the university campus in Jamshoro on Friday, reports our bureau.

In his inaugural speech, Prof Gee highlighted the educational linkage programmes of MUET with other top ranking foreign universities of Europe and America.

Stressing the importance of information technology in today’s educational programme, Prof Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan Rajput, the vice chancellor, MUET and co-chairman of the event, highlighted Mehran University’s contribution in organising various historical and mega events of MUET during the last five years.—Bureau
