HYDERABAD, April 18: Activists of Jeay Sindh Muttahida Mahaz (JSMM) and members of civil society staged a demonstration outside the press club on Friday in protest against prolonged incarceration of leaders of JSMM and nationalist leaders.

The protesters demanded release of Asghar Shah, Muzaffar Bhutto, Sattar Hakro, Asif Baladi, Nawaz Khan Zounr, Sikandar Soomro, Safdar Sarki and many others, who they said were languishing in jails.

Party leaders Hafeez Sindhi, Hafeez Pirzado and Punhal Sario alleged that the nationalist leaders had been arrested by agencies under false cases. A false case had also been registered against JSMM chairman Shafi Mohammad Burfat, they said.

They demanded that all the nationalist leaders should be released forthwith.show-cause: The discipline committee of the University of Sindh on Friday decided to issue show-cause notices to the four students who were involved in attacking their fellow students, Niaz Hussain Chandio and Ali Nawaz Chandio.
