KARACHI, April 19: Three ships planned to load/offload containers, palm oil and furnace oil were accommodated berths during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Saturday.

Meanwhile, four more ships carrying containers, chemicals and coal also arrived at the outer anchorage.

Six ships, Maersk Navazzano, Shadwan Island, Hyderabad, Donna-V, Sun Mercury and Taxi Arches-I, were busy in loading/offloading containers, cement, rice, fertiliser, palm oil and furnace oil.

A cargo volume of 56,258 tons comprising 32,058 tons of import and 24,200 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Sun Mercury and Shadwan Island sailed while Maersk Novazzano and Donna-V were expected to leave the port.
