SHIKARPUR, April 20: A man and a woman were killed on the pretext of karo-kari in Chak town on Sunday.

Javed Shah allegedly killed his sister Inayat Khatoon with axe in his house in Town Committee Mohalla and later went to Sitam Mohalla and axed to death his relative Mukhtiar Shah.

The Chak police have registered a case and started investigation.

Meanwhile, a motorcyclist was killed and another was seriously injured in a collision between a trailer and the motorcycle on Shikarpur-Sukkur road near Sarkari Wah in the jurisdiction of Lakhi police station on Sunday.

Parvez Ahmed Bugti along with his friend, Mohammad Ali Sundrani was going to Shikarpur from Sukkur when the trailer coming from opposite direction hit them. Parvez died on the spot and Sundrani received serious injuries.

The injured was taken to the Lakhi Hospital from where he was referred to Civil Hospital Sukkur due to his critical condition.

The trailer driver escaped from the scene leaving behind the trailer.
