LAHORE, April 21: The launching ceremony of the book ‘Samjhota Express’ (Hindi edition) will be held at Islamic Cultural Centre, New Delhi, on April 26.

Maleeha Humayun, the Pak-India Peace Initiative (PIPI) Lahore chapter joint secretary, said here on Monday that the book had been authored by PIPI President Awais Sheikh.

She said former Indian prime minister IK Gujral and Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit will be the chief guest and guest of honour, respectively, at the ceremony.

Speakers on the occasion will include former chief justice of Delhi High Court Rajinder Sachar, former UNO assistant secretary-general Zia Rizvi (Pakistan), Delhi Tax Bar Association president Mrs Prem Lata Bansal, Asian Association of Film and TV director Sandeep Marwah, Siddharth Publication executive Siddharth Raj Malhotra, writer Tridivesh Singh (India) and Maleeha Humayun.

A 23-member PIPI delegation, headed by author Awais Sheikh, will participate in the ceremony in India, and will cross Wagah on April 25. -— APP
