Bridge teams off to Colombo today

KARACHI, April 21: Pakistan men and women teams are due to leave for Colombo, Sri

Lanka, on Tuesday to take part in the fifth SAARC bridge championships, starting from Wednesday.

Data Steel is the only team representing Pakistan as Candyland pulled out of the championships at last minute.

Rashid-ul-Ghazi, Tariq Rasheed Khan, Tehseen Gheewala, Pervez Mirza, Khalid Javed, and Mirza Shouq Hussain are representing Data Steel.

Pakistan women team consists of Zeenat Azwer-Dinaz Dubash, Neelofar Aslam-Najam Abid, and Abida Ali-Teeta Agha.

Around 120 card masters from five countries — Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka — are taking part in the championships.—APP
