SUKKUR, April 23: The body of Ilyas Mangi, manager of a petrol pump, was fished out from River Indus on Tuesday after 20 hours.

On Monday morning Ilyas Mangi and another employee Munir Mirani were going to the National Bank Sukkur to deposit cash. When they reached Sukkur Barrage, three armed dacoits on a motorcycle intercepted their motorbike and on gunpoint tried to snatch cash. Sensing danger, Ilyas Mangi jumped into River Indus with cash and was drowned.

Following the incident, divers tried to locate the body but due to insufficient light, rescue work was discontinued. The dead body of Ilyas Mangi was fished out on Tuesday morning.

However, cash could not be found.—Correspondent
