HYDERABAD, April 24: The first semester examinations of fresh, improver and failure students of all institutes and departments of Sindh University would commence on May 8.

It was decided at a meeting of heads of institute and department, presided over by Vice-Chancellor Mazharul Haq Siddiqui on Thursday.

The meeting decided that special examination of students of ex-batches would also start on May 8.

Last date for submission of examination forms has been fixed as April 30.

Controller of examinations Dr Parvez Pathan informed the meeting that students of fresh batches would only submit examination forms as they had already deposited examination fee at the time of admission and added that only the failure, improver and ex-students would deposit the prescribed examination fee in bank and would attach a copy of paid challan along with their examination forms.

CNG ON CAMPUS: The University of Sindh is setting up a CNG station on Jamshoro campus for university vehicles.

Vice-Chancellor Mazharul Haq Siddiqui laid the foundation stone at the site selected for the station on Thursday.

Convener of the CNG project, professor Agha Riaz Hassan said that the project would be completed in six months at an estimated cost of Rs3.2 million.
