QUETTA, April 29: Two Military Intelligence (MI) personnel were killed in Khuzdar on Tuesday.

A police official told Dawn that Mohammad Yaqoob Lashari and Abdul Hameed were going to a hotel when armed men on a motorcycle opened fire on them and sped away. The MI personnel died on the spot.

Police raided several places, including hostels of the Khuzdar Degree College and Engineering University, and detained about 30 suspects for questioning.

Meanwhile, suspected militants killed a police constable at a checkpost in Mangochar area of Kalat.

The deceased was identified as Mubarak Khan.

Baloch Liberation Army’s spokesman Beebargh Baloch claimed responsibility for killing the two intelligence personnel in Khuzdar and the policeman in Kalat.

This was the second attack on MI personnel in the province in four days.

On Saturday, a bomb exploded close to the MI office in

Dera Bugti blowing up a major portion of the office but no one was hurt.
