Lodhi to lead chess players

KARACHI, April 30: International Master Mahmood Ahmed Lodhi will lead a six-member Pakistan team in the Chess Olympiad which will be held in Dresden, Germany, in November, the Chess Federation of Pakistan (CFP) announced on Wednesday.

Lodhi won the National chess championship which was his 11th crown on Tuesday.

The other five players of the team are those who finished behind Lodhi in the National championship. They are: Aamir Karim (Punjab), M. Waqar (Police), Khalil-ur-Rehman (Punjab), Haseeb Ahmed (Police) and Wahid Hussain (Sindh).—APP
