SANGHAR, May 6: An under trial prisoner, who was allegedly involved in a number of heinous crimes including murder and dacoity, escaped from the medical ward of the Civil Hospital here on early Monday morning.

Jatoi was brought to the hospital from the district jail a few days ago and admitted there for treatment. He asked constable Talib Hussain Mallah to allow him to go to toilet while the four other guards were allegedly asleep.

According to police sources, when the prisoner did not return after about two hours, constable Mallah informed his colleagues about his escape at about 5am.
