519 uplift plans for Mianwali

MIANWALI, April 29: The district government has started 519 development projects at the cost of Rs198,500,000 which will be completed before June this year.

This was stated by District Nazim Humair Hayat Khan Rokhri here on Monday. He said that the remote villages would also be electrified in the next financial year.

Giving details, the Nazim said that Rs26,700,000 would be spent on 199 education sector schemes; Rs4,300,000 on five health sector schemes; Rs23,700,000 on 156 electricity schemes; Rs26,700,000 on 14 water supply and sewerage schemes; Rs12,300,000 on roads repair or soling of union councils streets; Rs30,500,000 on 24 schemes under the Khushal Pakistan Programme besides Rs18,030,000 on nine education sector schemes under the KPP.

The district government has also received additional grants for four other development projects — Rs20,000,000 for new sewerage system for Mianwali city; Rs100,000,000 for Dera programme, Rs200,000,000 for Paikhel lift irrigation phase-I and Rs80,000,000 for schemes under the KPP.

REFERENDUM: District Nazim Humair Hayat Khan Rokhri has instructed all the Nazimeen, Naib Nazimeen of tehsil and union councils, councillors and lady councillors to bring maximum voters from their homes to the polling stations.

He has told them that if they wanted to get development programmes continued in their constituencies, they should ensure that maximum voters cast their vote in favour of Gen Musharraf.

Tehsil Nazim Khurshid Anwar Khan has instructed the council members that they should go door to door to bring voters to the polling stations.
