LAHORE, May 16: Supreme Court Bar Association President Aitzaz Ahsan on Friday visited two protest camps set up by the Save Judiciary Committee and the PML-N Lawyers Forum on the premises of the Lahore High Court Bar Association.

Lawyers warmly welcomed Mr Ahsan on his surprise visit to the bar and raised slogans against President Musharraf. Mr Ahsan later visited the barroom and exchanged views with lawyers.

Mr Ahsan said eventually the government would have to restore the deposed judges, including Chief Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry. Mr Ahsan refused to comment on the relationship between the two major coalition partners - the PPP and the PML-N.
