KARACHI, May 24: Seven ships carrying containers and chemicals are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Sunday, according to KPT sources.

Seven ships, Star Canopus to unload coal, St. Irene, Y.M. Improvement to unload and load containers, Iron Butterfly, Lena and Admire Coral to unload and load general cargo and Formosa Product Cosmos, an oil tanker, were berthed on Saturday after the departure of as many.

The departing ships were led by Cap Colorado, Hyundai Future, Gulf Bridge, Rhoneborg, St. Irene, Al-Aqeela-1 and Falcon, while Jaikur-1, Doris, Oel Mumbai, Y.M. Improvement, Rising Sun, Formosa Product Cosmos, Khairpur and Smarty are due to sail out on Sunday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where a total tonnage of 120,000 tons comprising 61,196 tons of export cargo including 11,025 tons of cement and 3,436 tons of rice and 59,137 tons of import tonnage was handled on Saturday.

The following ships are due on Sunday: Bengal Orchid with chemicals, A. Dragon with jet oil, Bunga Delima, Global Prosperity, Armis, As Mars and City of Xinamen with containers.
