RAWALPINDI, May 28: Several highly qualified and experienced teachers associated with academic institutions functioning under the umbrella of Fauji Foundation are feared to lose their jobs as a result of the restructuring measures announced by the foundation.

Several teachers of Fauji Foundation College for Boys in New Lalazar, Rawalpindi, have been served with notices declaring them surplus as part of restructuring.

The notices issued by the education directorate of Fauji Foundation have sent a wave of shock among the teaching staff who appealed to Lt-Gen (retired) Arif Hasan, the managing director of Fauji Foundation, to suspend the restructuring process and save the academic staff from disaster.

Fauji Foundation operates a network schools and colleges in different parts of the country as part of the welfare programme of its staff and their families. Most of the lecturers who have received notices had a long experience with the foundation.
