TANK, June 2: A foreign militant group has claimed responsibility for killing a local Taliban commander and his associate in the Frontier Region of Dara Zenda on Sunday.

Haji Abdul Hanan, second commander of the Mullah Nazir group in Wana, was killed on the Zob road when he was coming from the Kohlu area of Balochistan.

His associate Rafi Ullah and driver were also killed.

Uzbek militant group

Ansarul Mohajireen’s spokesman Maulvi Noorul Islam told Dawn on phone on Monday that his comrades had killed Haji Hanan.
