SUKKUR, June 8: Scores of people staged a demonstration in Bhoosa Lane here on Sunday to protest against hours-long power outages and shortage of drinking water.

The protestors belonging to union council 8, 12 and 13 of the city were shouting slogans against Hesco and the taluka municipal administration.

They said that with the advent of summer, Hesco had resorted to hours-long unannounced load-shedding on daily basis, due to which they were also facing an acute shortage of water. They demanded an end to loadshedding and smooth supply of water.
