SUKKUR, June 10: The chairman of the Citizen Welfare Organisation and member New Sukkur Taluka Council, Syed Imran Ali Shah, has condemned the sale of a municipal dispensary building to a builder of Karachi and has announced to launch a campaign against the taluka municipal administration.
Speaking at an emergency meeting of the organisation, he said that the K.B. Khudadad Khan Municipal Dispensary was providing medical services for the last 50 years to the people of the area, but the Sukkur City taluka nazim without any reason had handed over the building of the dispensary to a builder, who would construct a high-rise plaza there and would earn millions of rupees by selling shops, flats and offices.
He has appealed to the Sindh local government minister, the DCO and Taluka Municipal Administration of Sukkur to interfere in the matter and save the dispensary from closure.
Federal Minister for Labour Manpower and Overseas Pakis-tanis Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah has also taken the notice of it on some public complaints and has directed the DCO to inquire into the matter.
