HYDERABAD, June 20: Some 15 people received injuries in a clash between two groups in a mosque in Tandojam on Friday. Tandojam police arrested four people against whom cases were registered.

Police force from other police stations, including Hatri, Husri and Qasimabad were despatched to Tandojam to bring the situation under control after some miscreants resorted to aerial firing in the area and forced the shops to close.

The incident took place in Khad Para mosque. The two groups threw bricks and sorts on each other, causing injuries to 15 people.

The injured were Mohammad Yusuf Khokhar, Shaukat Khokhar, Hafeez Khokhar, Ejaz Khokhar, Amir Khokhar, Jehangir Rajput, Akram Mughal, Toheed Mughal, Abid Akhtar Khanzada, Khalil Ahmed Rajput, Abid Rajput, Mohammad Ashraf Mughal, Anwar Khanzada, Akrhar Khanzada and Zahoro Khokhar.

They were sent to the Tandojam Hospital and the Civil Hospital Hyderabad.

A heavy contingent of police led by Supervising Police Officer (SPO) Ayub Brohi moved in the area where police had been deployed at sensitive points.

The police arrested Saleem, Majid, Naveed and Zubair Khokhar.
