ICC team visits National Stadium

KARACHI, June 20: The security consultants and other officials of the International Cricket Council (ICC) visited the National Stadium here on Friday to observe the preparations being made at the venue for the Champions Trophy tournament.

Some members of the delegation visited various parts of the stadium and took pictures along with RGM Sindh Mohsin Khan and other staff members of the National Stadium.

Board (PCB) briefed the delegation on various related aspects.

Earlier, the delegation flew into Karachi from Rawalpindi this morning after inspecting the facilities in Lahore and Rawalpindi.The Champions Trophy is scheduled to be held in Lahore, Rawalpindi and Karachi from Sept 11 to 28.

Later, talking to reporters, ICC Media Officer Sami-ul-Hasan said it was a routine visit which was a part of the ICC policy to send delegation to host country for inspecting various things including security arrangements.—APP
