LAHORE, June 23: A number of students of the Punjab University on Monday staged a protest demonstration, which was organised by the Islami Jamiat Tulaba (IJT) against students’ expulsion, increase in fees and suspension of university bus service. Speaking to the protesters, IJT nazim Zahid Naveed said the Punjab governor should take notice of the vice-chancellor’s `anti-student’ actions.

He said the IJT would continue its campaign till the re-admission of the students and withdrawal of raise in fees.

The protesters were also carrying placards inscribed with their demands.
