LAHORE, June 25: The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has finalised arrangements to observe a ‘black day’ on Friday (tomorrow) against the verdict of the Lahore High Court (LHC) barring Nawaz Sharif from contesting by-election for NA-123.

The party plans a protest outside Masjid-i-Shuhada besides protest camps outside the Punjab Assembly and outside the LHC building.

The party decided demos and camps at a meeting, presided over by MNA Khwaja Saad Rafiq and attended by all Lahore members of the National and Provincial assemblies, on Wednesday. All assembly members will arrive at public meetings with processions and no tyres will be burnt.

The party decided its allied wings of youth, kissan, lawyers, labour, women and culture would participate in the protest meeting while a mass contact campaign would also be initiated by assembly members at primary units and union councils.

MNAs Hamza Shahbaz and Mian Marghoob Ahmad and Special Assistant to Chief Minister Pervez Rashid also spoke.
