KARACHI, June 25: The security measures adopted by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for the Asia Cup have been acknowledged by the Indian cricket team’s manager Aravind Ganguly.

Aravind also played down security fears expressed by New Zealand and Australia about coming to Pakistan for the ICC Champions Trophy in September.

“Pakistan clearly has a good cricketing environment. I think the security arrangements are also good. We are not concerned with this aspect as it is well taken care off,” he said.

“The Indian team is very happy to be in Pakistan for this (Asia Cup) tournament and we are enjoying ourselves and feeling at home. The hospitality is good,” he added.

Ganguly further said that he had no doubt security would still be better for the Champions Trophy which was a bigger tournament.

“I would tell New Zealand and Australian teams they must come to Pakistan for the Champions trophy. Whatever fears they might have in their mind will be cleared once they come here and see the excellent arrangements and cricketing environment,” he expressed.—Agencies
