Rain forecast

LAHORE, June 27: After experiencing nearly three days of oppressive sultry weather, people in Lahore and other cities in northern Punjab are likely to have a rain spell during the next 24 hours.

It was muggy again on Friday in the city but wind indicated the development of a rain generating system. The Met office said arrival of the trough of a westerly wave from northern Afghanistan and the combination of monsoon current from Arabian Sea and well-marked seasonal low over Balochistan would rid people of the harsh weather.—Staff Reporter
