MANSEHRA, June 29: The deposed Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry said that during the long march the lawyers’ fraternity proved that they were law-abiding people and their struggle was for the supremacy of the Constitution and justice, which would succeed very soon.
He expressed these remarks, while speaking to a lawyers’ delegation of Mansehra, led by District Bar Association Vice President Ishtiaq Khan Swati, which called on him in the federal capital on Sunday.
The delegation included Mohsan Ali Khan, Taveerud Deen, Aurangzab Jahangery, Ijaz Shah, Safderul Habib, Babar Khan and Advocate Zulfiqar Khan.
The deposed chief justice said that the lawyers’ long march was highly successful and gained worldwide recognition about the real issue. He paid tributes to the lawyers for their just struggle and said that the lawyers’ movement would restore supremacy of the law and Constitution in the country.
