KARACHI, July 7: Nine ships carrying containers and to load ethanol, naphtha and clinker are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Tuesday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was modest where 10 ships: Ocean Beauty to offload phosphate, Sea Spirit, Johar and Golden Nori, tankers, Wan Hai-301, Jitra Bhum, Thuringla Express, Cosco Dammam with containers and Pacific Express with general cargo were berthed.

Sailing was brisk as over a dozen vessels including Hyundai Duke, Oel Transword, Eric G. Gibson, Gulf Bridge, Creek, Quasar, Rio Ekuku, Golden Elizabeth, Vinashin Melody, Sea Princess, Oel Shreyas, Y.M. Inventive, Armis, Anegraic, Bolan, Chemroutc Sun and Guan He Kou departed during the last two days.

While Sea Spirit, Golden Nori, Thuringla Express, Jaikir-2, Orient Stride, Wan Hai 301, Cosco Dammam, Pacific Express and Johar are due to sail out on Tuesday.

A total tonnage of 222,000 tons comprising 56,093 tons of export cargo and 166,000 tons of import tonnage was handled in the last two days.

The following ships are due on Tuesday: Sunrise Lilac to load ethanol, M-3 Susanne with jet oil, Slengang Termaca to load naphtha, Lalazar with crude oil, Kapitan Byankin, Northern Harmony, Northern Fortune, Cape Negro and APL Pusan with containers.
