SUKKUR, July 11: A severe dust storm hit parts of Sukkur district and entire districts of Ghotki and Shikarpur on Friday night. Trees, sign boards and hoardings and electric poles were uprooted resulting in the suspension of power supply.

The area was sizzling during the last couple of days but weather became a bit pleasant after the dust storm.

People sighed relief due to weather change but also faced long power outage following the uprooting of electric poles.

According to reports of the three districts, roofs of many katcha houses and huts were blown away without any reported casualty or injury.

However, power supply was not restored till the filing of this report.
