Carpet expo

LAHORE, July 12: Pakistan Carpet Manufacturers and Exporters Association (PCMEA) will hold an international carpet exhibition from Aug 28 to 31 in Lahore. Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani is likely to inaugurate.

Exhibitors from different countries will take part to display a wide range of hand-knotted carpets. PCMEA chairman Mian Javaidur Rehman said: “We have invited 200 guests to look at grand display of carpets. Already 143 members from US, Canada, Japan, Middle East, Sweden, Australia, China, Iran and India have made registrations to showcase their rugs here”.—PPI
