LAHORE, July 13: Pakistan drew 3-3 against South Korea in their second match of the sixth Men’s Junior Asia Cup hockey in Hyderabad, India, on Sunday.

According to information released by the Pakistan Hockey Federation, Pakistan staged a comeback after 0-2 down at half time. They failed to earn a single penalty corner in that period.

By virtue of this draw and a win against Oman in their first match, Pakistan with four points have qualified for the semi-finals where they are expected to clash with arch-rivals India who have secured six points from two wins.

To avoid this clash, Pakistan must beat Bangladesh in their last match on Monday by more than 10 goals to beat South Korea on goal average who play against Oman.

Inayatullah scored Pakistan’s first goal in the 45th minute.

Pakistan earned their first penalty corner in the 50th minute in which Kashif Ali brought the two sides at even keel with a superb drag flick.

Ten minutes later, Kashif Ali put Pakistan in front on penalty corner conversion. Korea’s last foray got them their fourth penalty corner which they converted.

South Korea earned four penalty corners while Pakistan got two.

In the first match of the day, Bangladesh beat Oman 7-1.
