TT trials from 20th

KARACHI, July 15: Open trials to select four U-16 probables including two girls for this year’s Commonwealth Youth Games will commence at Lahore’s PSB Coaching Centre from July 20, the Pakistan Table Tennis Federation (PTTF) announced on Tuesday.

The Commonwealth Youth Games will be held at Pune, India, in October.

Table tennis is one of the disciplines in which Pakistan will field its players. A boy and a girl will travel to India.

The probables will undergo training at a camp in Quetta under the supervision of North Korean coaches.

Players who are under-16 on Jan 1, 2008, and willing to take part in the trials, have been asked to report to Irfanullah with their documents on the abovementioned date.

The PTTF selection committee consists of Irfanullah, Saleem Ahmed and Rashid Nabi Malik.
