KARACHI, July 21: The excise police on Monday claimed to have arrested two drug peddlers and recovered 200 kilos of fine quality hashish from their custody.
The haul came in a raid on a van conducted on a tip-off by a special squad of the excise police in Malir. The estimated value of the seized drug in the international market is stated to be around Rs20 million. The excise police said that the consignment was to be smuggled out of the country.
The alleged peddlers have been identified as Ambia Khan, son of Fateh Mohammad, and Arz Mohammad, son of Ghulam Rasool Brohi, both residents of Chaman, Balochistan. They have been booked under the Control of Narcotic Substances Act-1997.—PPI
