SUKKUR, July 21: Body of a dacoit, injured on Saturday during an exchange of firing and expired on Monday while in hiding, was handed over to his relatives.

According to reports Dost Mohammad alias Doso Misrani was wanted by police and was carrying Rs2 million as head-money. However, he was injured in firing exchange with his rivals over land dispute. Later police handed over the body to his relatives in Haji Gahi village situated in Shah Belo forest.

Dost Mohammad received fatal injuries on Saturday and was hiding in his house which proved fatal. Qadirpur police took the body to Civil Hospital Sukkur for post-mortem.

Later, it was handed over to his relatives in Haji Gahi village situated in Shah Belo forest for burial.

Police sources claimed that Dost Mohammad was wanted in more than 100 cases including, murder, kidnapping, dacoities, police encounters and others. He was the symbol of terror in Shah Belo forest since last 20 years.

INJURED: A man was seriously injured by armed people over old enmity in Qaim Jiskani village near Pano Akil, on Monday.

A group of armed persons raided the village and opened fire, injuring Allah Dino Jiskani. He was shifted to the Civil Hospital, Sukkur in critical condition. Area people claimed the attack was a result of old enmity between Chachar and Jiskani tribesmen.
