KARACHI, Aug 2: Four ships scheduled to load/offload containers, rice and palm oil were allotted berths on Friday, said a PQA press release on Saturday. Meanwhile, another ship carrying iron ore also arrived at the outer anchorage.

Ten ships, Maersk Novazzano, Dubai Express, CMA CGM Kingston, QSM Dubai, Leopard-B, Ocean Beauty, AI-Farabi, Shrike, Victory Ocean and Cerlgo, were busy in loading and unloading containers, cement, rice, phosphoric acid, coke, palm oil and crude oil.

A cargo volume of 78,645 tons comprising 49,189 tons of import and 29,456 tons of export tonnage was handled.

CMA CGM Kingston, Abbud-G, Victory Ocean, Cerigo and AI-Farabi sailed out while Dubai Express and Maersk Novazzano were expected to depart.
