NAWABSHAH, Aug 2: Police on Saturday booked six people including four police officials on charges of detaining a man and depriving him of cash and valuable belongings.

Ghulam Mustafa Rahu said in an FIR lodged at Qazi Ahmed police station that when he asked one Mir Mohammed Siyal to return the vehicle he had rented out to him, he sent to him ASI Sajid Arain and three policemen who put him under arrest at an undisclosed place.

The police officials kept pressurising him to settle the matter with Siyal and later set him free after depriving him of 20,000 cash, mobile phone and a golden chain.

Police have booked Mir Mohammed Siyal, Dildar Siyal, ASI Sajid Arain and three unknown policemen and started investigation.

KILLED: Unknown assailants shot dead Din Mohammed Junejo, a peasant, in Qazi Ahmed on Saturday when he was on his way back home from a farm in Manjhi Chandio village. The killers managed to escape.

LOOTED: A gang of armed dacoits barged into the house of Zafar Ali in Taj Colony and looted jewellery, cash and valuable belongings, said reports on Saturday.
