MIRPURKHAS, Aug 5: Sindh Minister for Livestock Abdul Haq Bhurt has said that conspiracies being hatched against the elected government by remnants of dictatorial regime will be foiled and added that the undemocratic elements now criticising the government for its four-month performance should tell the people what they did for them during their 11-year rule.

He was addressing a public meeting at Kunri and Nabisar road late on Monday.

On this occasion, Sindh Minister for Low Cost Housing and Human Resources Syed Ali Mardan Shah, MPA Ali Murad Rajar and Amin Lakho were also present.

The minister said that it was an irony that dictator and unelected people ruled the country for longer period as a result of which flawed policies were formulated which did not give any relief to common man.

Sindh Minster Syed Ali Mardan Shah said that 50,000 youths would be given jobs and training in various technologies under the Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Youth Development Plan.

Later, the minister visited a cattle farm on Nabisar Road which was established for the preservation and promotion of Thari cattle breeding.

Animal Husbandry Director Dr Ghulam Sarwar Shaikh told the minister that the farm was spread over 4266 acres of area and this year it earned Rs1.6 million.

RALLY: The education department in collaboration with NGOs took out a rally for creating awareness about education in Umerkot town on Tuesday.

District education department in collaboration with Actionaid Pakistan, Unicef and Sami Samaj Sujag Sangat took out the procession from Government High School which ended at Umerkot Press Club.

The participants were carrying placards and banners and marched on different roads and reached the press club.

Speaking on the occasion they said it was a demand of modern age that no child should be left out of school.
