HYDERABAD, Aug 7: The Sindh High Court, Hyderabad bench, here on Thursday issued notices to the DPO of Mirpurkhas, the SHO of Bulri Shah Karim and three private respondents on a petition filed by a woman.

She said that she married of her own free will after filing an affidavit before a civil judge and judicial magistrate on Feb 21.

She said her parents were not happy with her marriage and her father lodged a case against her husband and his other relatives at police station Rahuki. However, she said, after investigation police found the case false thus it was accordingly disposed of. She said her parents continued to harass her.

She said her uncle then lodged an FIR at police station Bulri Shah Karim. She said her parents used their influence and no action was taken by police against them.

Police had started harassing her and her husband and their other family members, the woman claimed.

She said police had raided her husband’s house to arrest him and warned his relatives to produce the couple before them or they would be implicated in ‘false’ cases. She said her marriage is legal. She said she had no other remedy available with her to save her life.

She prayed the court to submit list of cases against her and her husband before the court.

She said that respondents should be restrained from harassing her and her husband’s family members. She said that police should be directed to conduct an impartial investigation in her case.
