HYDERABAD, Aug 8: The Sindh Agriculture University Teachers Association at a meeting held in the campus on Friday expressed concern over the situation at the campus and appealed to the authorities and civil society to take notice of the situation and restore the sanctity of the institution.

Prof Dr Ameer Bux Kalhoro presided over the meeting. It observed that due to the prevailing situation, the academic and research activities and the admission and examination process had been seriously affected and the university was suffering irreparable losses.

Meanwhile, the university remained virtualy closed as employees continued their strike.

They held a protest sit-in and vowed to continue the strike till the removal of the vice-chancellor.

The employees have launched a movement for the removal of its vice-chancellor Dr Basheer Ahmed Shaikh.
