KARACHI, Aug 11: Four ships scheduled to load/offload containers, cement and palm oil were accommodated berths during the last 24 hours, said PQA press release on Monday.

Meanwhile, three more ships carrying containers, wheat and furnace oil also arrived at the outer anchorage.

Eight ships, Rosa-M, Maersk, Novazzano, Al-Mansourah, Alexi-1, Bow Viking, Transport and Al-Salam-II, were busy in loading and unloading containers, cement, palm oil and diesel oil.

A cargo volume of 57,400 metric tons comprising 36,343 tons of import and 21,057 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Bow Viking and Al-Salam-II sailed out while Rosa-M and Maersk, Novazzano were due to depart on Monday.
