LARKANA, Aug 11: Corruption charges have been levelled against taluka nazim by the Larkana district body of Pakistan People’s Party and PPP-backed Awam Dost Panel members of Council. They said that he would be removed in a week.

The girl alleged that she was detained in a house in Sehwan where Saleem Chandio and his two friends abused and tortured her. She told police that she escaped from the house and reached Larkana.
The ASP Larkana city Nasir Qureshi told this scribe that SHO women police station picked the girl on a tip-off adding and that torture signs were visible on her body. The medical report would come on Tuesday, the ASP said.
FIRING: Firing between members of Khoso and Janwri clans in Wali Dino Khoso and Manik Janwri villages in the Qambar area has mounted tension in the area.
A woman was injured in the firing on Monday. The rival parties were residing in villages opposite to each other. On Monday evening they traded fire which continued for three hours, sources said.
Both the groups had enmity over a theft case in which four people, two from each side were killed about a month ago.
Qambar police rushed to the spot to stop firing.
