DERA ISMAIL KHAN, May 6: The prime suspect of Bhakkar bomb blast, allegedly an Al Qaeda member, was arrested in Bhakkar on Sunday.
The suspect, Tauseef Ali, had been serving Imambargah Qasr-i-Zainab in Bhakkar for the last six months in the guise of a malang. He was seen watering the plants near the blast site for a week and he disappeared after the incident, sources said.
On Sunday afternoon, some men recognized the suspect when he was in the town in another guise. They took him to the imambargah where he was beaten up, sources said. Two women were also caught by the Imambargah servants in the light of his confession, they said.
Later, the suspect was handed over to the district Nazim of Bhakkar who took him to the police.
The police raided the suspect’s house in Mohallah Khurshid and seized a remote-controlled device, two hand-grenades and a Kalashnikov with nine fake NICs issued in different names but with the same picture, the sources claimed.
