MIRPURKHAS, Aug 16: Hundreds of Pakistan People’s Party workers and office-bearers including the party’s women wing held a rally, urging Musharraf to step down on Saturday. The party leaders Haji Noor Hassan Chandio and Malik Yaseen Ghori demanded that the government ensure accountability of the president.

They condemned Pervez Musharraf for not tendering resignation and asked rulers not to give him a safe passage because he was responsible for present crisis.

The participants of the rally were carrying banners and placards inscribed with slogans “Go Musharraf go”, “Killer of students of Lal Mosque and Akbar Bugti”.

LOADSHEDDING: Unannounced and prolonged loadshedding by Hesco has badly disturbed routine life, with the civil hospital incurring additional expenses for fuel.

The power consumers Akbar Khan, Najaf, Furqan Ahmed, Saad, Khurram and Asif complained that there was no fixed time for loadshedding.

They lamented that the unannounced load-shedding had caused huge losses to businessmen.
