HYDERABAD, Aug 16: Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Hyderabad has announced the results of Higher Secondary School Certificate part-II (class-XII) Humanities group, annual examinations 2008.

Among the boy students, Asad Ali, son of Abdul Samad Gabol, seat No.107812; Ghulam Nabi, son of Noor Mohammad Brohi, seat No.115662; and Hubdar Ali, son of Liaquat Ali Waswano, seat No.107389 have secured first, second, and third positions by obtaining 784, 782 and 772 marks, respectively.

All position holders were students of Government Higher Secondary School Mahar Ali Jamali, Nawabshah.

Among girl students, Aisha, daughter of Abdul Wahab Memon, seat No. 100315 of Government Girls College Hyderabad; and Farheen, daughter of Mohammad Ali Abbasi, seat No. 109573 of Government S.L Girls College Unit No.6 Latifabad Hyderabad; secured first and second positions by obtaining 849 and 815 marks, respectively.

Third position was bagged by Farkhunda Kowkab, daughter of Rasheed Ahmed Sajid Rajput, seat No. 103702 of Government Degree Girls College Kotri by obtaining 806 marks.

A total number of 7,356 regular/private students, including 3,017 girls, appeared in the humanities group examinations out of which 5,383 students, including 2,260 girls, were declared pass while result of 101 students has been withheld for one or other reason.

The percentage on the whole is 73.17 per cent.

Not a single student among the boys and girls students has passed in A-I grade while 22 students have secured A grade.
