KARACHI, Aug 19: Seven ships carrying containers, coal and to load cement are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Wednesday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was on the higher side where six ships, D.F. Genoa, Sinar Bintan, Seven Seas Aurora and Yaossa Bhum to unload and load containers, Fu Ning Hai to unload coal, and Atlantia to offload palm were berthed after the departure of five.

The departing ships were led by Sapphire-T, Cerigo, Caribbean Emerald, Hanjin Chittagong and Harmony, while Seven Seas, Aurora, Artimis, Yossa Bhum and Fu Ning Hai are due to sail out on Wednesday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was on the higher side where a total tonnage of 101,000 tons comprising 38,729 tons of export and 62,420 tons of import tonnage was handled on Tuesday.

The following ships are due on Wednesday: Holmen with general cargo, Cosco Dammam, APL Cairo with containers, Jin Pu with coal, Sea Princess, and Orient-2 to load cement and Iron Butterfly with project cargo.
